Kangaroo Island Ferry Service - Winter 2025 Maintenance Days
As necessary each year, we schedule time during the quieter months to perform essential annual maintenance to each of our vessels. This includes critical maintenance and the annual AMSA survey which covers checks on machinery and safety equipment on the vessels.
This year, the maintenance works will be carried out on selected weekends to minimise the disruption to services and project works underway to transition to the new ferry service. The maintenance schedule has been approved by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) and will allow contractors to continue to progress the works at Cape Jervis.
During this time, the maintenance days are:
June
- Saturday 21 June and Sunday 22 June, SeaLion will be removed from service.
- Saturday 28 June and Sunday 29 June, the Spirit of Kangaroo Island will be removed from service.
July
- Saturday 26 July and Sunday 27 July, SeaLion will be removed from service.
August
- Saturday 2 August and Sunday 3 August, the Spirit of Kangaroo Island will be removed from service.
- Saturday 9 August and Sunday 10 August, SeaLion will be removed from service.
- Saturday 16 August and Sunday 17 August, the Spirit of Kangaroo Island will be removed from service.
- Saturday 23 August and Sunday 24 August, SeaLion will be removed from service.
- Saturday 30 August and Sunday 31 August, the Spirit of Kangaroo Island will be removed from service.
All affected customers will be contacted in date order and moved to alternative sailings.
