Temporary Timetable Changes - Penneshaw Public Jetty Works

Temporary changes to the SeaLink Kangaroo Island ferry timetable from 29 July to 14 August 2026 (inclusive) will need to occur due to works taking place in the Penneshaw Harbour precinct to support the finalisation of the Public Jetty works.

To enable these works to be completed while maintaining ferry operations, the Spirit of Kangaroo Island vessel will need to berth overnight in Cape Jervis.

We have worked in collaboration with the South Australian Government to minimise disruption to customers and maintain service continuity while these important works are undertaken by making minor temporary timetable changes rather than cancelling services during this period.

The following temporary timetable changes will apply:

• 5:30am departure from Penneshaw and 7.00pm departure from Cape Jervis will not operate.
• 6:00am departure from Cape Jervis and 7:30am departure from Penneshaw will operate in their place.
  

We will be contacting affected customers, including freight customers, with existing bookings for travel between 29 July and 14 August 2026 (inclusive) to transfer bookings to the following revised departure times.

• Customers travelling on the 5:30am departures from Penneshaw will be transferred to the 7:30am departure, and
• Customers travelling on the 7:00pm departure from Cape Jervis will be transferred to the 6:00pm departure.
  

Changes to existing bookings will be made without charge and are subject to availability.

The Resident Saver Fare will continue to be available on the 7:30am departure from Penneshaw and the 6:00pm departure from Cape Jervis.
