At SeaLink, we acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, water and community.

We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Cultures, and Elders past, present and emerging.

We acknowledge the First Nation communities in the regions in which we operate.

Acknowledgement of Country

  • SeaLink South Australia acknowledges and respects Aboriginal peoples as the state's first peoples and nations, and recognise them as traditional owners and occupants of land and waters in South Australia.

  • SeaLink K’gari (Fraser Island) acknowledges the Butchulla people as the Traditional Owners of K’gari.

    We pay respect to Butchulla Elders past and present. We recognise, celebrate and respect the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First Australians.

    We acknowledge the Butchulla peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual connection to the land, waterways, sea and sky.

  • SeaLink North Queensland acknowledges the Wulgurukaba, Bindal, Manbarra and Bwgcolman Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Land and Sea Country on which we operate.

    We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present.

  • SeaLink Whitsundays acknowledges the Ngaro communty as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work and recognise their continued custodianship and connection to the land, waters, and community.

    We pay our respect to their Elders past and present.

  • SeaLink Gladstone acknowledges the Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng, Taribelang Bunda communities as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work and recognise their continued custodianship and connection to the land, waters, and community.

  • SeaLink South East Queensland acknowledges the Quandamooka people, the traditional owners of the land on which we work, live and visit.

    We recognise their continued custodianship and connection to the land, waters, and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

  • SeaLink Sydney Harbour acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land the Gadigal and Eora Nation on which we operate and recognise their continued custodianship and connection to the land, waters, and community.

    We pay our respect to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

  • SeaLink Tasmania acknowledges the people of the South East Nation, Mouheneene (Hobart), Melukerdee (Huon), Nuenone (Bruny Island), Lyluequonny (Recherche Bay) communities as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work and recognise their continued custodianship and connection to the land, waters, and community.

    We pay our respect to their Elders past and present.

  • SeaLink Western Australia acknowledges the Whadjuk people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work. We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region.

  • SeaLink Northern Territory acknowledges the Larrakia, Tiwi and Anindilyakwa Traditional Owners of the land on which we work and recognise their continued custodianship and connection to the land, waters, and community.

    We pay our respect to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our Vision for Reconciliation is about Real Opportunities, Real Outcomes.

At SeaLink, we want to create an organisation which embraces and incorporates recognition, acknowledgement and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. To create opportunity and capacity building for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned businesses in our direct community.

To authentically honour our commitment to reconciliation our new Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) acknowledges our past achievements whilst aligning to the new vision, capability, size and scale of the Kelsian Group which SeaLink is part of.

We have a dedicated Diversity Advisor championing our RAP initiatives and actions, as well as leadership training, an internal working group, and empowered local leadership teams to ensure we can achieve real opportunities and real outcomes.

SeaLink Marine & Tourism Partners with Clontarf Foundation

SeaLink Marine & Tourism is proud to support the Clontarf Foundation through a three-year partnership. Aimed at empowering young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men across Australia, the Clontarf Foundation operates over 150 academies nationwide, helping nearly 11,500 students to build life skills, confidence, and pathways to meaningful education and employment.

Commenced in July 2024, this collaboration reflects SeaLink Marine & Tourism’s deep connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Together, we are fostering opportunities, including but not limited to, worksite visits, employment forums, and meaningful career discussions. SeaLink Marine & Tourism teams across Australia have already hosted Clontarf students at workplace tours and attended school-based events, with more initiatives planned to build on these successes.

By engaging purposefully, this partnership promises to create lasting change and empower young men to realise their potential.
