Sustainability

As Australia’s largest marine transport and tourism provider SeaLink takes the responsibility to protect the environments we live and work in very seriously.

SeaLink Marine & Tourism is part of the Kelsian Group which is a leader in sustainable public transport and operator of Australia’s largest zero-emission bus fleet and Australia’s largest electrified bus depot. We are working with governments and clients around Australia to pursue the design and construction of low and green-emission vessels including hydrogen and electric to provide sustainable marine transport solutions.

Our sustainability programs look at practical ways to improve our internal practices and make them environmentally friendly, as well as find fun and engaging ways we can inform and educate our guests on understanding and protecting the beautiful natural environments they are visiting.

At SeaLink, a number of our operations have achieved independent certifications from peak bodies like Ecotourism Australia that assess our operations against global best practice standards.

Independent certification also provides visitors an easy way to identify operators who have a genuine commitment to fostering environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation, and conservation.
