Ferry service status

TRAVEL INFORMATION FOR TUESDAY 20 TO THURSDAY 22 OCTOBER 2026

As we prepare for the transition to the new Kangaroo Island Ferry Service, ferry services will not be operating from Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 October 2026 (inclusive), subject to weather conditions.

This temporary shutdown will allow for final preparations, including the installation of new vehicle ramps at Cape Jervis and Penneshaw.

Ferry services are expected to resume on Friday 23 October, operating on a limited timetable with SeaLion 2000 only for approximately 3 to 4 days, weather permitting.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank our passengers for their patience and understanding as we prepare for the new ferry service.
