SeaLink offers a freight service on its return ferry service between Townsville and Palm Island.
Please note the following conditions apply to the carriage of freight on board all SeaLink North Queensland vessels.
- SeaLink reserves the right to refuse to carry freight that does not comply with our carriage of dangerous goods policy
- No alcohol is permitted in freight trolleys or concealed in carry-on bags
- All freight items must be checked in by a SeaLink crew member at the designated Palm Island freight counter located beside gateway 2.
- The number of freight items permitted per travelling passenger is three standard items plus one cold, freight dockets will be issued upon purchase of a ticket or presentation of a valid return or flexi ticket. All freight items must be accompanied.
- Any freight that arrives after freight loading is closed (20 minutes prior to departure) will not be loaded.
- SeaLink takes no responsibility for any loss or damage to freight.
- The number of carry-on luggage items permitted is restricted to the amount a passenger can carry in one trip to the vessel during boarding
Size & Weight Guide
Each piece of luggage, freight and carry on item should meet the following requirements:
Total linear length to not exceed 170cm (height + width + depth). This does not include the length of the handle attached to a piece of luggage or trolley.
Maximum weight: 20kg | Maximum width: 80cm.
