Our Fleet
SeaLink North Queensland owns and operates four (4) twin-hulled high-speed modern aluminium passenger catamarans which provide scheduled services to Magnetic and Palm Islands.
Our fleet are proudly Queensland born and bred, constructed in Brisbane and purpose built for our ferry operations as well tourism and charter programs offering open-air and airconditioned comfort to take in the best views of our region by day or night
All ferries feature air-conditioned cabins, aircraft-style and café-style seating, a fully licensed bar, outdoor viewing decks, wheelchair access and access-friendly bathrooms.
MV Coolgaree Cat
“Coolgaree Cat” is a passenger vessel accommodating up to 320 passengers over two decks and was a customised build for Palm Island. The aluminium catamaran is 30.49 metres in length. Coolgaree Cat was launched in 2020 and the vessel is wrapped in local indigenous artwork and has a refrigerated cold freight storage area on the vessel to service the Palm Island community.
MV Palm Cat
“Palm Cat” is a passenger vessel accommodating up to 300 passengers over two decks. Palm Cat was launched in 2008 and has an aluminium catamaran is 30.13 metres in length. Palm Cat was launched in 2008
MV Maggie Cat
“Maggie Cat” is a passenger vessel accommodating up to 340 passengers over three decks and was a customised build for Maggie Island. The aluminium catamaran is 30.8 metres in length. Maggie Cat is our newest vessel in our fleet and was launched in June 2022 and was built by CMA Australia.
MV Fantome Cat
“Fantome Cat” is a passenger vessel accommodating up to 320 passengers over two decks. The aluminium catamaran is 30.49 metres in length. Fantome Cat was launched in 2010 and has just returned to our fleet after a new paint job to bring it into the SeaLink blue branding.
