📢 Calling all Local Indigenous Artists! 📢
SeaLink North Queensland is proud to announce the beginning of our first Local Indigenous Artists Competition!
SeaLink North Queensland is excited to announce a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. We are inviting Indigenous locals from the Townsville, Hinchinbrook, Palm Island, Magnetic Island and Cape Cleveland regions to share their artistic talents with us!
This initiative offers a unique opportunity for Indigenous artists to showcase their visual talents, allowing us to highlight First Nations history and culture in our Breakwater Terminal and vessels.
By participating in this opportunity, artists not only have the chance win a brilliant Arts Package in the Tiwi Islands, but also their designs proudly worn on t-shirts by our staff. The true reward, however, lies in SeaLink's commitment to being a part of this journey towards strengthening our community connections for the future.
To celebrate this initiative, SeaLink will be hosting a memorable showcasing evening. This event will provide a platform for all artists to display their entries, engage in discussions with fellow artists, guest speakers, and more, as we eagerly anticipate announcing the winner for 2024.
We are excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to celebrating the talent and creativity of our local Indigenous artists.
The competition will start on the 25th March 2024 and close on the 6th May 2024.
