North Queensland is becoming one of Australia's premier sailing destinations. The 16th annual SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week will offer first-class racing on the crystal blue waters of Cleveland Bay from Thursday 31st August to 6th September 2023, following on from the Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island Race Weeks and is the finale of the Queensland Season of Sailing.
In 2023 the social calendar won't disappoint with one of the biggest highlights being the Townsville Airport Father's Day at Picnic Bay.

Townsville Airport Father's Day at Picnic Bay 9am - 5pm

9am - 1pm - Markets, Free Kids Activities, Food Stalls
9.30am - 11am - Sand Castle Competition
11.00am - 12noon - Arcadian Surf Club - The Great Inflatable Race - Registration at 10am PRE REGISTER HERE FOR INFLATABLE RACE
BEACH RETREAT - brought to you by Townsville Yacht Club held at Picnic Bay Surf Lifesaving Club
10.00am - 5.00pm - Fundraising BBQ, Bar
2.30pm - 3.30pm - Mud Crab Races
12noon - 5.00pm - Entertainment - Godfathers of Funk
To celebrate Father's Day, SeaLink are offering a special ferry rate of $32.50 for Adults and $70 for Family returns and there will be free shuttle buses provided by Port of Townsville from Nelly Bay to Picnic Bay and return from 9am - 5pm on Sunday the 3rd of September 2023.
