SeaLink will introduce a temporary fuel surcharge across all Magnetic Island services from Monday 1 June 2026.
The surcharge will be applied as follows:
- Single Trip: $1.00
- Return Trip: $2.00
- Family Ticket: $4.00
- Frequent Traveller Tickets: 5%
SeaLink operates without State Government subsidy, and fare revenue directly supports the ongoing provision of our services.
We have deferred this fuel surcharge for as long as practicable and have continued to absorb increasing fuel costs over recent months. However, these sustained cost pressures can no longer be fully absorbed by the business.
Like many transport operators, we are currently experiencing increased fuel costs. While we have absorbed these rising costs for as long as possible, this small temporary surcharge will help us continue to operate reliable services for our community.
