SeaLink goes pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Sea Link Goes Pink Crew

SeaLink, Australia’s leading marine transport and tourism operator, is proud to change from its iconic blue to bright pink, in support of the McGrath Foundation during Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

Statistics by the National Breast Cancer Foundation show that in Australia 1 in 7 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and about 1 in 600 men in their lifetimes.

Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer amongst women in Australia with approximately 57 Australians diagnosed every day.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of early detection, support, and solidarity and it represents an opportunity for SeaLink to rally its team, customers, and the broader community around a cause that impacts thousands of lives.

Donna Gauci, CEO, SeaLink Marine & Tourism, said, "We all know someone who has been impacted by breast cancer, whether it be a family member, a friend, or even a work colleague."

“At SeaLink, we believe in the power of community. So our team are proudly donning pink, raising awareness and funds to show our support to our work colleagues, our customers and those in the wider community affected by breast cancer.

As part of its fundraising efforts, SeaLink will be displaying posters and a QR code in our terminals, our vessels and websites as an easy way for our team and customers to contribute to the cause,” Ms Gauci said.

“We have embraced the colour pink across our Australian operations, with our crew wearing pink caps, our vessels being decked out in pink, and transforming our websites in a bid to raise awareness of Breast Cancer and funds for the McGrath Foundation's invaluable work in supporting individuals and families affected by breast cancer.”
