At Little Sahara Adventure Centre you can take a buggy tour or guided e-Bike tour through the property, or hire a sandboard or toboggan and experience the thrills and spills of sliding down the massive sand dunes.

Little Sahara is a naturally occurring inland dune field. The site is around 2.5 square kilometres large, approximately 4km from the coast, with the tallest dune being 70 metres above sea level. This unusual privately-owned site was classed as a significant Australian Heritage Geological Monument in 1979.

  • Surf and Sand Buggy Adventure

    The buggy adventure takes you to wild places totally inaccessible to anyone else. After admiring koalas in the 500-year-old gum trees along the banks of the Eleanor river, your experienced guide will take you to the edge of the Earth! At the coast, you’ll marvel at the beauty of the rugged cliffs, turquoise waters and huge swell. You’ll get to go to a pristine remote beach where there will be nothing between you and Antarctica besides the vast Southern Ocean. Eastern Osprey’s are a common sight out here and in winter you might be lucky to see a Southern Right Whale. Finish off, of course, with a ride through the desert-like landscape of Little Sahara’s epic inland sand dunes. This adventure is sure to be one to remember.

    Little Sahara Buggy Tour

    Buckle up and let your guide showcase beautiful Little Sahara to you. Ride in a Yamaha Viking UTV Buggy through picturesque scenery that few visitors are privileged enough to see. Begin in the natural scrub along the banks of the Eleanor River, looking up into the 500-year-old South Australian blue gums for koalas! Learn about the flora, fauna and history of the area from your knowledgeable Guide and sample native seasonal bush foods along the way. Finish off with a ride through the unique desert-like landscape of Little Sahara. This 2.5 square kilometre natural inland sand dune system boasts dunes up to 70m above sea level and is recognised as a National Geological Monument and Heritage Listed Site. This is the perfect tour for anyone wanting to just sit back and enjoy an adventure through nature.

    Little Sahara Adventure Centre is located at 3733 South Coast Road, Vivonne Bay.

    Open daily 9:00am to 5:00pm (Oct - April), 9:00am to 4:00pm (May to Sept). Closed Christmas Day. Outside of these hours the site is gated and locked.

    • Prices valid from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, for other dates please enquire.
    • All prices are per person, and children under the age of 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult
    • Helmet and googles are provided, but enclosed shoes are recommended.
    • Tours operate in most weather conditions, with the exception of storms, hail or gale-force winds, as your safety is our first priority.
    • Travel insurance is highly recommended.
    • Subject to SeaLink’s standard terms & conditions.
