Get up close with wild dolphins
Join Kangaroo Island Marine Adventures onboard ‘Energizer’, the only custom-built dolphin swim jet boat in the industry with its smooth ride and comfortable seating. The north coast is home to the largest gatherings of wild Bottlenose dolphins on Kangaroo Island. Throughout summer, you could potentially be swimming freely amongst 50-80 dolphins in their relaxation areas (1- 3 metres deep), in a safe swimming area.
Viewing from onboard is also amazing as the dolphins are very curious and swim all around the boat. There is plenty of room to move about onboard the boat where you can capture the best shots as you witness their antics diving in and out of the wake of the waves.
The Island Explorer Tour is a three-hour experience taking in the magnificent sights of the north coast allowing plenty of time to swim and interact with the dolphins, while also viewing ancient fossil beds dated 540 million years. A huge variety of coastal seabirds and wildlife can be seen on these tours, including white-bellied sea eagles, wedge-tailed eagles, falcons, and seal colonies.
