1. & 2. Permanent Residents residing on Bruny Island:
Sticker/s will be issued to vehicle/s owned by those named on the Kingborough Council Rates Notice permanently residing at the property address and whose vehicle is registered and garaged at the Bruny Island address.
Person/s, permanently renting a property, as their sole residence are only eligible for islanders subsidised ferry fares if the drivers’ licence/electoral roll and vehicle registration states their residential address as Bruny Island and a certified signed copy by all parties including start and end dates of the lease attached.
Only fulltime commuting resident student/s are eligible for student ferry fares.
Evidence must be provided if you are a fulltime student commuting from Bruny Island to a learning institution. You will be issued a Student Pass valid for the current educational enrolment semester/year.
Non-Permanent Residents (Landowners)
Sticker/s will be issued to vehicle/s owned by those named on the Kingborough Council Rates Notice.
Maximum of three (3) stickers per Bruny Island property.
Landowner’s who are renting / leasing their property to a permanent Bruny Island resident (point 1 & 2), will be issued with one (1) sticker only on presentation of Certified Lease Agreement.
B. When changing living status from BI (Landowner) to Res (permanent resident on Bruny Island), provide ‘Principal Land Classification’ is required.

C. The issue of stickers to persons leasing property (and not residing) on Bruny Island for business purposes will not be considered.
D. Subsidised ferry fare is not available for commuters to Bruny Island on work commitments, volunteering, caretaking or Government Organisations.
E. To be eligible for a subsidised ferry sticker the motor vehicle must be under 6 metres in length and not used for commercial or business purposes.
F. Ferry Passes valid for private motor vehicles (Premium Class 1, 2 (up to a maximum of GV 4.5 tonne), 21 or 22 as per Motor Vehicle Registration Papers) ONLY and up to 6 metres long, which are OWNED & OPERATED by the applicant/s.
G. Applicants applying for a sticker of a vehicle registered in their employers’ name must attach a letter on company letterhead stating the vehicle is for your sole and private use.
H. When purchasing new vehicles, please remove old sticker and notify the office or hand into Staff at the Ticket Booth. Forward a copy of new registration papers immediately for eligibility.
I. Once issued, stickers MUST be affixed to the bottom righthand corner of the vehicles windscreen to obtain subsidised ferry fares. (that is no sticker on vehicle = no concession).
J. Vehicles stickers are not transferrable to any other vehicle or person/s.
K. Laminated stickers will not be recognised as valid vehicle ferry stickers.
L. Current Islander Ferry Sticker holders may apply for a Temporary Sticker if their vehicle is in for repair for a nominated time.
M. Your use of the ferry is subject to the “Conditions of Carriage” which will be forwarded with your new Ferry Sticker.
