Temporary Fuel Surcharge

Since 7 May 2026, a temporary 3% fuel surcharge has applied to new direct vehicle ferry bookings on North Stradbroke Island and Southern Moreton Bay Islands.

From 10 June 2026, the surcharge will apply to all new vehicle ferry bookings.

The surcharge has been introduced to help offset the impact of ongoing volatility in fuel prices and associated supplier costs. Fuel remains one of the largest operating expenses involved in delivering vehicle ferry services, and recent market conditions have created sustained cost pressures across our operations.

We have worked hard to absorb these increasing costs for as long as possible. However, a temporary fuel surcharge is now necessary to help maintain safe, reliable and consistent services while avoiding larger permanent fare increases.

The surcharge is currently set at 3% of the vehicle fare and will be reviewed monthly. It will be adjusted or removed as fuel prices and operating costs change.

We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support.
