Low Tides May Affect Vehicle Ferry Services

Some Southern Moreton Bay Islands vehicle ferry services may be delayed or rescheduled during periods of particularly low tides between October 2026 and January 2027. All affected customers will be notified.

Spring tides bring lower low tides, reducing the water depth available for our vessels to operate safely. Silt build-up in some areas is also contributing to reduced water depth, and we are organising dredging to address this.

The impact on individual services also depends on wind, atmospheric pressure and the weight carried by each vessel, so some changes can only be confirmed closer to departure.

We are monitoring conditions and will contact affected customers where changes to their bookings are required.
