The Northern Territory Government will commence maintenance dredging at the Cullen Bay ferry facility from 22 May 2025, following a period of rapid silt build-up that has increasingly affected vessel access - particularly at low tide and for deeper draft vessels.
To help expedite the works and reduce the impact on passengers, SeaLink has worked closely with the NT Government to temporarily adjust the Darwin–Mandorah timetable, enabling 24-hour dredging operations. The revised schedule prioritises peak services while consolidating quieter sailings to maintain essential connectivity throughout the project.
Timetable updated on 13 June 2025
Following an initial review of the dredging works since commencement, we have revisited the ferry timetable and made minor adjustments in response to community feedback, without compromising safety or causing delays to the dredging schedule.
