SeaLink Western Australia proudly sponsored and participated in the Western Australian Return Recycle Renew Limited (WARRRL) Containers for Change Beach Clean at Thomson Bay on Rottnest Island on Monday, 13 May.
In collaboration with EcoSurf Australia, Containers for Change (WARRRL), the Rottnest Island Authority, and Samphire Rottnest, SeaLink WA transported 30 volunteers from the mainland who collected an impressive 54.5kg of rubbish in just one hour.
All items were logged with Tangaroa Blue Foundation, a national non-profit organisation that operates the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI), supporting communities in protecting their coastal environments.
SeaLink Western Australia General Manager, Leycester Cory, expressed his pride in supporting this important cause: “At SeaLink we know it’s important that we all play a part to protect the pristine lands and waterways in which we operate.
