Ferry timetables for Tiwi Islands
Change to Monday Tiwi service | June to August 2026
SeaLink Northern Territory will not be operating the Monday Tiwi Islands service, including the Tiwi by Design tour, from June through to August 2026.
Regular year-round Tiwi Islands ferry services will continue to operate on:
- Thursday (including the Tiwi by Design tour)
- Friday (including the Tiwi by Design tour)
- Sunday
The Monday service was introduced as an additional seasonal service. However, due to ongoing challenges with fuel prices, we have made the decision not to operate this additional service during June, July and August.
Based on current bookings and forecasts, passenger demand can be comfortably accommodated across the regular timetable, which will continue connecting residents, businesses and visitors between the Tiwi Islands and Darwin.
This update is being shared early so residents, tourism operators and visitors have time to plan travel accordingly.
