Nothing feels more luxurious than having the time to enjoy a long lazy lunch. So, what about a 7-course lunch on a boat, surrounded by the glittering turquoise waters of Rottnest Island? Welcome aboard the Luxe Seafood Cruise.

This decadent dining experience is the best way to explore Rottnest Island and savour the incredible seafood found within its waters. Each of the 7 courses is prepared by a private chef in the open kitchen and BBQ on board. The menu showcases delicious seafood delicacies from around WA, including freshly caught Western Rock Lobster.

There’s the chance to enjoy a swim off the boat in one of Rottnest Island’s sparkling bays. Or laze about on the boat’s 3 decks as you’re served complimentary drinks throughout the cruise. With a maximum of 30 travellers on a boat built for 46, you’ll find plenty of space to relax and feel like you’re enjoying your private cruise.

As you tuck into the delicious food at Isola Bar e Cibo and gaze out over the water at Thomson Bay, you can be forgiven for momentarily forgetting you’re in WA, not Italy. Isola’s Italian-inspired dishes, made with fresh WA produce, will transport your taste buds to the Amalfi Coast.

1. Rottnest Island Joy Flights

What’s the most luxurious way to admire Wadjemup / Rottnest Island? From the sky on a 20-minute joy flight of the island!

Departing from Rottnest Island Airport, the flights circle Rottnest Island from high above before descending for another loop for a better look. You’ll enjoy unbeatable views over the whole island and the chance to view the island’s beaches and coral reefs from above. Keep an eye out for whales in the winter!

Rottnest Island Joy Flights operate daily.

2. Swan River Seaplanes

To see more of WA’s stunning coastline, join Swan River Seaplanes for uninterrupted views of Perth, Fremantle and more. Their 20-minute flights to the island depart from Perth for views of the city and beyond before circling over Rottnest Island to view the island from above.

Land at Rottnest Island airport, just a kilometre from the settlement, and spend the day exploring the island. Then jump aboard the SeaLink ferry for the return trip to Perth or Fremantle.

Swan River Seaplanes depart Perth at 9:00 am or 10:00 am, Wednesday - Sunday (October, November, February - May) and daily (December and January).
