We are excited to announce the return of the Moongalba, who left our shores back in July 2018 to spend time operating on the SeaLink Bruny Island service in Tasmania.
Did you know Moongalba (meaning sitting place) was the second vessel introduced into the Stradbroke Ferries fleet and used to operate between Cleveland and North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah)?
Many people might remember travelling to or from Straddie back in the day & we would love to hear any memories or see photos that you have!
After a short stopover in Sydney last week due to a decline in weather conditions she recommenced her voyage on Monday morning and is due back in Cleveland Thursday 7 April 2022.
A special thank you to the SEQ and Tassie crew who have sailed her back across Bass Strait and up the coast – which was about 7 days of sailing.
