Our Commitment to North Stradbroke Island
SeaLink South East Queensland has been operating on North Stradbroke Island for over 60 years, and our commitment to the community runs just as deep as our history here. Each year, we provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in in-kind travel to support local clubs, grassroots events, and community organisations that make the island a better place to live, work, and visit.
We’re proud to back organisations like Point Lookout Surf Life Saving Club, Straddie Sharks Allsports Rugby League Club, and Point Lookout Bowls Club, as well as local events such as the Straddie Invitational, Straddie Arts Trail, and Straddie Salute. Our support also extends to vital community groups, including the North Stradbroke Island Aboriginal and Islanders Housing Co-op, Yulu-Burri-Ba, and Stradbroke Early Learning—just to name a few.
We prioritise initiatives that focus on education, the environment, and community connection, with a strong emphasis on supporting organisations based on North Stradbroke Island and the Southern Moreton Bay Islands. For us, it’s not just about transport—it’s about strengthening the communities we’re proud to serve.
