Ride For Sick Kids - Virtual Event
When: 23rd October - 1st November 2020
Where: Join the virtual online Kangaroo Island challenge. Choose from three distances. 150km (Kingscote Loop), 268km (Seal Bay Loop) or 545kms (Kangaroo Island to Adelaide Tour).
Join the Ronald McDonald House for this unique challenge and help make a difference to children with serious illnesses or injuries and their families who stay at Ronald McDonald House Charities South Australia. The many families that visit the House face daily challenges and it is in that spirit that riders are encouraged to tackle this virtual ride and tick off a bucket list item by riding KI (or participating with a virtual ride).
Choose your distance (150kms, 268kms or 545kms) and get started on this self-paced ride. Complete all at once or spread out over the 10 day period. You can log your KMs automatically through your fitness tracking device, or enter your distances manually, and you can ride out on the road or on a training bike. Then encourage your community to support you on your virtual journey, and start working towards achieving your fundraising goal. SeaLink are proud to support this initiative.

If you're searching for an adventure then the Kangaroo Island Marathon is for you! Set on Kangaroo Island, the KI Marathon is a destination marathon that showcases one of Australia’s best kept secrets. This is a premium running experience available to a maximum of 500 runners each year and attracts runners from around the globe.
The course route is located in the remote south-west corner of Flinders Chase National Park, starting and finishing at the Visitor's Centre. Be inspired by deviating and undulating roads that cut through dense forest, an exposed coastal section with views of the powerful Southern Ocean, a loop that travels by historic landmarks such as Cape de Couedic Lighthouse and Admirals Arch, and a zig-zag boardwalk leading to the iconic Remarkable Rocks. 2020 was a gap year for the event with everything that happened, but the event will be back in full strength for 2021!
