45 minute Guided Koala Walk 

Experience our famous koala Walk with your own guide. An invaluable 45 minute tour that takes you into our private enclosure area to search for Kangaroo, Echidna, Cape Barren Geese and then finishing on our Koala Walk to see our furry friends.

Self-Guided Koala Walk

Take a leisurely stroll down Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary's famous Koala Walk. Observe the amazing and beautiful koalas relaxing in the avenue of shady Eucalyptus trees.

The Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is the best place on Kangaroo Island to see a sustainable population of koalas in the wild. You can expect to see between fifteen to twenty Koalas to at any one time. You are welcome to stay as long as you like enjoying these beautiful Australian marsupials. Take your camera, water bottle and binoculars.

Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary Visitor Centre and Cafe is open from 8am until 5.30pm-6pm during Spring/Summer and 9am until 5pm during Autumn/Winter located at 7797 South Coast Road, Karatta.

Prices are per person and valid from 1st of April 2019 to 31st of March 2020, for other dates please enquire. *Family price is for 2 adults and 2 children. Children are aged 0-11 years. Student 12-17 years. Please set the child age to 11 years or less  or student age 17 years or less when you reach the checkout to receive the correct price.
