Coopers Kangaroo Island Cup

Event Dates: Friday 17th – Sunday 19th February 2012

Kangaroo Island comes alive over the Coopers Kangaroo Island Cup Carnival weekend held at the beautiful Cygnet River Race Course, a few kilometres outside of Kingscote, the main town on Kangaroo Island. The racecourse is transformed at this time of the year with trackside marquees, colourful signs and flags and a party atmosphere.

More and more people are making a long weekend of it and enjoying the carnival atmosphere of the Coopers Kangaroo Island Cup.  The first race day is on Friday 17th February, with the highlight of the weekend being the Kangaroo Island Cup Race Day on Sunday 19th February. Join the crowd of around 3500 people on Sunday to celebrate all that is great about true country racing – there’s the fashions on the field, great food including local produce, Kangaroo Island wines and of course Coopers beer.  There’s also on-course entertainment, bookmakers and the TAB van, making this a fantastic event.

Racing on Kangaroo Island will once again be broadcast around the country with Sky Channel with the two day Cup Carnival being a full TAB meeting.
