Kangaroo Island SeaLink

Sponsorship

For more than 20 years SeaLink Travel Group has been helping sporting teams, schools, community events and other organisations on Kangaroo Island with sponsorship and in-kind support.

And today that support continues under our new CommunityLink program, which is available in two ways:

  1. In the form of ferry travel assistance for passengers and possibly vehicles to/from Kangaroo Island.
  2. In the form of a travel voucher that may be used as a prize or auction item in order to raise money for a worthwhile cause.

CommunityLink's aim is to provide a level playing field for all applicants so that SeaLink can better help the people of Kangaroo Island.

How it works

Applications for CommunityLink support will be considered twice a year with the first round closing on the last Friday in February and the second on the last Friday in August.

A CommunityLink panel, including representatives from the local Kangaroo Island community and SeaLink Travel Group, will consider applications. Successful applicants will be advised as soon as practicable following the decision (generally within two weeks of applications closing).

Successful applicants will be asked to enter into a written sponsorship contract with the SeaLink Travel Group.

So if your project or club is helping to build a stronger and better Kangaroo Island community, we'd love to hear from you. Just fill out the CommunityLink Application Form.

Best of luck with your application.

CommunityLink Terms and Conditions

  • CommunityLink applications will be considered twice a year, generally on the last Friday in February and the last Friday in August or another date determined by and publicised by the SeaLink Travel Group.
  • Applications for CommunityLink support (in both forms) can only be submitted by each organisation once each calendar year.
  • A panel, consisting of representatives from the local Kangaroo Island Community and SeaLink Travel Group will assess applications and notify all applicants of the outcome, generally within two weeks of the closing date.
  • While the application form outlines the types of applications that will be given preference under the program, there is no guarantee that projects meeting all of these criteria will be successful. Likewise, success in one year does not guarantee success in another year as other projects may be considered more deserving at a particular time.
  • Sponsorship is in the form of in-kind travel only and not the monetary value. Any unused portion of the sponsorship cannot be put towards any other services. Any residual value cannot be refunded in cash.
  • All travel allocated under the CommunityLink program will need to be used within a specific timeframe (generally one year). Any unused travel cannot be accrued.
  • Once a booking is made and confirmed, one booking alteration may be made FREE OF CHARGE.  Any subsequent booking changes will incur a booking fee of $22 per booking.
  • The successful applicant organisation is required to provide a written report outlining how the travel was used, how the support benefited the community and how SeaLink's sponsorship was publicised. This report needs to be submitted to SeaLink Travel Group no later than 11 months after sponsorship has been approved. This information will be assessed in conjunction with application forms received from the same organisation as part of future selection process.
  • When the SeaLink logo is to be used in the printing of any promotional materials or publications pertaining to the CommunityLink sponsorship program, SeaLink would appreciate being sent a copy prior to publication for approval.
