Pick-up from your Adelaide hotel
(must be pre-booked), or depart Adelaide Central Bus Station,
85 Franklin Street, at 6.45am. Travel
through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis and board your
SeaLink ferry for the 45 minute crossing to Kangaroo Island. On
arrival you will be met by your Coach Driver where you can
settle back in the comfort of your SeaLink coach and enjoy
the scenery on your way to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery,
a marvellous example of dinky-di Australian bush ingenuity. See
how this traditional Aussie Bush Product is made, enjoy the
history and learn how this business is self-sufficient, operating
on solar and wind power.
A two course lunch is next followed by a visit to the Parndana
Wildlife Park, an award winning sanctuary with one of South
Australia's largest collections of rare and unusual birds and
animals. Feed kangaroos and watch echidnas play and sleep and
see animals such as quolls, water buffalo and even crocodiles! Then
its on to world famous Seal Bay where you will share one of
Kangaroo Island's greatest experiences – a guided beach
walk amongst a rare colony of Australian sea-lions. Don't forget
your camera!
From Flinders Chase we head to the Island Pure Sheep Dairy & Cheese
Factory. Take part in a guided tour, observe the milking of
sheep and the making of cheese and yoghurt, followed by an
opportunity to taste and buy this famous produce. Products
made at Island Pure include Spanish, Greek, Italian and Cypriot
styles.
Your tour concludes with your transfer to your Kangaroo Island
accommodation, the airport or ferry terminal for your return
journey to Adelaide.
