Day 1 Adelaide to Kangaroo Island
Your day begins with the morning SeaLink Coach Connection scenic trip down through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis. You'll then board SeaLink's fast and comfortable ferry for the 45 minute crossing to Kangaroo Island.
On arrival, settle back in the comfort of your SeaLink coach and let the scenery
slide past on your way to Seal Bay where you will enjoy a beach walk among a
breeding colony of Australian sea-lions. Guided by a National Parks Guide, this
really is the experience of a lifetime. Bring your camera! After lunch watch
a free flight presentation with our Bird's of Prey. We arrive at the KI Wilderness
Retreat situated in a natural eco-friendly environment where you stay the night.
This afternoon can be spent at your leisure relaxing on the deck in front of
your room or strolling around one of the Retreats' walking trails.
Day 2 Kangaroo Island to Adelaide
This morning you have free time to explore the local surroundings where you can choose to borrow a bicycle or organise a transfer to a local attraction. This afternoon enjoy Flinders Chase National Park, an internationally renowned sanctuary for a host of native animals including kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and goannas. Walk along the rugged southern coastline (on specially constructed walkways to protect both you and the environment!) to Remarkable Rocks and Admiral's Arch. Remarkable Rocks provides a spectacular backdrop for creative photographers. Admiral's Arch boardwalk takes you down a rocky cliff face to confront a spectacular arch and a nursery haven for fur seals. Watch the fur seals diving, playing or just lolling about on the sundrenched rocks, warming up again after swimming in the surf.
Your Southern Wanderer experience comes to a conclusion at the airport or ferry terminal for your return journey to Adelaide.
