Day 1 Adelaide to Kangaroo Island
Enjoy a scenic afternoon coach ride from Adelaide to join the SeaLink ferry to Penneshaw, arriving in plenty of time to explore this beautiful seaside village. In the evening, why not explore the local Little Penguins as they come home to their rookeries for the evening. Guided Tours operate from the Penguin Centre by the foreshore and ferry terminal.
Overnight is at the Kangaroo Island YHA in Penneshaw. There are plenty of eateries available in Penneshaw including the Local Pub, Restaurants, Cafes, 7-Day Supermarket, Fish Shop and Pizza Shop.
Day 2 On Kangaroo Island
Join SeaLink's Kangaroo Island Highlights Day Tour, which begins with a visit to Seal Bay where you will enjoy a beach walk among a breeding colony of Australian Sea Lions. Guided by a National Parks Guide, this really is the experience of a lifetime. Bring your camera!
After a two-course BBQ lunch we head on down to Flinders Chase National Park for the rest of the afternoon. Flinders Chase is internationally renowned as a sanctuary for a host of native Australian animals. Walk among the rugged southern coastline (on specially constructed walkways to protect both you and the environment) to Remarkable Rocks and Admiral's Arch. Remarkable Rocks provides a spectacular backdrop for all you creative photographers so bring plenty of film. Admiral's Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to confront a spectacular rock arch and a nursery haven for fur seals. Watch the fur seals diving, playing or just lolling about on the sundrenched rocks, warming up again after swimming in the surf.
Your Kangaroo Island Highlights experience comes to a conclusion back at your YHA accommodation.
Day 3 Kangaroo Island to Adelaide
Depart on SeaLink's morning ferry service and coach connection back to Adelaide. The ferry terminal is a short walk from the YHA in Penneshaw.
